Fleas

PREPARATION:

1. Vacuum all rugs, carpets and furniture.  Dispose of  vacuum cleaner bags in outdoor trash receptacle, fleas can breed in vacuum cleaner bags.

2. Clear floors of objects for access to all surfaces; mop tile and vinyl floors.  Sweep all concrete floors.

3. Clean or dispose of all pet bedding, since this area is critical.

4. Strip beds (optional) if you would like us to treat seams of mattress.

DURING TREATMENT: All occupants and pets must vacate the premises for 4 hours.

AFTERCARE: Do not use any type of detergent on floors for two (2) weeks.  Mop with water only.  Vacuum frequently and keep bag away from the house or discard after each use. Use flea spray on your pets. 

ESTIMATED TIME TO DO TREATMENT: The technician will be on the premises approximately 1 to 1 & ½ hours.

FOLLOW UP: As necessary within warranty period at no additional charge.  Please wait at least two (2) weeks before requesting a follow-up to give chemicals a chance to work.

CHEMICALS/TREATMENT USED: We treat all flooring and upholstered furniture (mattress optional).  Catalyst – residual insecticide- provides quick knock-down of adult fleas and Precor- insect growth regulator – prevents eggs and larvae from hatching to adulthood.  Free pint of flea spray with every initial flea treatment.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Pets should be treated professionally when we perform initial service, so that they come back in the home flea-free.  If pet is on Proban or Prospot, do not use flea spray and we will have to use Ficam rather than Catalyst.
